Who We Are

I AM Support Services is a small family business that provides individualised targeted support to participants who are being supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or through Commonwealth Home Care packages.

As an organisation we want to provide a unique and individualised approach that reflected the location of our organisation in a rural community. We have a strong focus on individuals being able to find their employment, accommodation, life purpose within the community that they were raised in.

Being local we understand the challenges of living in a rural community and the connections that can be made between mainstream support services and disability supported services.

We want everyone to achieve their goals and to make the most of their skills and abilities. The barriers that are identified throughout their journey provide different opportunities for individual growth as well as providing experiences and outcomes that are tailor-made for each person.

Our coverage area is the Rural City of Wangaratta and surrounds. Each participant is encouraged to meet with their support person prior to agreeing to receive support from I AM Support Services. This way each participant has the full choice and control over decision making and can be supported right from the start to make their NDIS package work for them and their goals.

I AM Support Services’ main role is community access. With this our goal is to remove our role from an individual’s life giving them the strategies and confidence to access services, make informed decisions, access the NDIS portal and develop a greater awareness of what they want to achieve and the steps to take to get there.


NDIS Services

  • I AM Support Services offers 1:1 support to enable individuals to develop   capacity to build routines, life skills and create an environment of success for living independently. This can include support  with domestic assistance, meal planning and preparation, budgeting and routine skill building.

  • I AM Support Services provides a range of social and skill building groups that are diverse in activity and content, participant focussed, as well as encourage participant choice, development and social interaction.

    Groups are generally provided on a 1:3 ratio, with a maximum of nine individuals in a group.

  • We offer 1:1 support for individuals to be able to build their capacity to access public transport. This includes being able to assist with navigation of timetables as well as completing social stories to be able to assist individuals to have long term success and confidence to travel independently.

  • Looking for somewhere private to be able to build on your own confidence, strength and general fitness. Our Fitness studio offers 1:1 personal training, with fully qualified Physical Trainers, in a private studio located in the centre of Wangaratta. 

    All programs are tailored to meet individual goals and can be for 6 weeks or ongoing. At home programs are also available to be able to accommodate those weeks where getting to the studio might be a challenge.

    There are also VR (Virtual Reality) sessions that can benefit clients by providing immersive experiences for therapy, skill development, social interaction, and relaxation. It ca enhances accessibility, and offers engaging ways to improve well-being and independence.

Aged Care Services

  • Being affiliated with Trilogy Care, I AM Support Services, is able to offer the Wangaratta community access to experienced Case Mangers to support the development, implementation and review of their Commonwealth Home Care Package. We are all local and are able to provide access to local support agencies to ensure that individualised care is provided.

  • If you are a self funded retiree we provide fee for service support to assist with the review of current situations, planning for the future as well as referral, recommendation and the implementation of support based on need.
